In the United States dance floors are dominated mainly by hardcore Techno, Rap and Hip-Hop. As a result, we began searching for a way to introduce people to new styles of music and nightlife experiences without having the expense of importing unknown artists from around the world. In other parts of the world many clubs lack a large enough userbase to cover the expenses for hosting parties with artists worth mentioning.
Dance Atlantis introduces people to new styles of music by providing them with all the sights, sounds and experiences of nightlife on one website. For example, DJs, musicians/producers, dance, fashion, light and sound technicians, interior, catering, bar people, just to name a few.
On the Dance Atlantis website people will find biographies of each artist. They can listen to samples of different styles of music, hear demonstration mixes, view photographs, watch videos, and experience the artists musical philosophy. Members will have the opportunity to meet other members in their geographic area with similar interests. In an effort to save time and money some content will be hosted on Facebook and or YouTube.
Dance Atlantis members will have the ability to rate the artists by musical ability, personality and appearance. This significant feature will provide us with information regarding the artists members have the most interest in performing at participating clubs. Members will make their final selections from a list where they can also view the estimated admission, per combination of artists. For example, how much a ticket will cost to have selected artists perform at a party. Tickets will be sold online which will give Dance Atlantis a higher degree of security.
Dance Atlantis will operate worldwide assuming there are enough participating members in a designated area. The definition of an area is the distance people are willing to travel for a night out.
In a designated area just one small and one large club will be allowed to participate. Clubs will be awarded exclusive rights to host parties where the DJ, music style, and other details have been pre-selected before the event. Members can be devided into groups such as age, music interests, gender, sexual orientation and origin and thus targeted separately. Local clubs, bars, associations, etc. can use Dance Atlantis resources to host a party without the hassle of managing and organizing it all themselves. Members can also propose ideas for parties.
When Dance Atlantis becomes larger expenses can be shared by having artists perform in different areas over different nights. For example, on Friday's a small party in one area and on Saturday a large party in a more populated area. We can even throw a surprise party if an artist happens to be in the area.
Nowadays almost everyone can be found on one or more of the popular social networking sites, Facebook in particular. Dance Atlantis will be linked to Facebook so that members can sign-in without having to sign-up for a separate account. This will lower the thresshold to become a member significantly. All of the bars, restaurants and clubs in an area should be good for thousands of potential members.
So once we gathered at least 2000 members for a certain area, Dance Atlantis will organize small and big parties on an occasional basis in that area. |
